We exist to Build gateways to imaginary worlds
In short: Escape This creates, builds and runs totally immersive escape rooms: founded by brothers Daniel and Bernie Janes, it opened its first centre in Northbridge, Western Australia, in January 2020. This page covers its rooms, its guests’ words and its keys to success.
Escape This is Australia's premier escape rooms operator. We create, build, and play totally immersive themed escape rooms in Perth and Sydney.
Behind each of our escape room doors, an hour-long adventure awaits those players game enough to accept the challenge, be it averting nuclear disaster in The President's Briefcase; escaping the dinner table of Dr. Lecter's copycat killer in Cannibal®; surviving being Buried Alive®; breaking free of Calico Jack's Pirate Island hideaway; escaping Dracula's vengeful grasp; navigating The Wizard's Chamber; breaking free of Perth's most haunted house in The Haunting and its sequel room, The Possession®; or pulling off the Bank Heist to end all bank heists.
Whichever adventure they choose, our escape room throw challenges at players that require critical thinking, great team work and masterful problem solving to find the clues, solve the mysteries, unravel the riddles and crack the codes that will free them from their "locked room" adventure.
Established in 2019 by brothers Daniel and Bernie Janes, Escape This opened the doors to its first escape room centre in January 2020 in Northbridge, Western Australia. The culmination of more than 40 years combined experience in the leisure and activity sector in the UK, Ireland and Australia, Escape This offers customers an experience like none other in Australia.
With film industry quality sets and props, backed by a highly trained team of professional Gamesmasters, experienced management & bookings teams, and a proprietary bookings system, Escape This has serviced more than 200,000 patrons since January 2020.
I’ve been to a few different escape room venues so far, and I’ve returned to this one the most. What makes it truly exceptional are the staff! They seem so passionate about the rooms and really spinning the story - I don’t see this at many of the escape rooms.
Perfect balance of challenge and success in richly built rooms with loads of variety. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very keen to return again soon!
Always a great time! Pretty much played all the rooms. All super unique and interactive! Staff are super friendly! Thank you! Can't wait to check out the new rooms soon.
Staff were exceptionally lovely. My friend was nervous with the coffin and our game master was so nice and accommodating. He really helped put her at ease.
Ticks all the boxes for being a great escape centre. Passionate staff and well themed rooms = A+ experience. Had a ball, will be back.
Great experience! Wonderful staff and a range of super exciting problem. We did the Cannibal room and absolutely loved it. I would definitely recommend Escape This to anyone.
Five principles every Escape This crew member works by: Full Circle ‘5 Star’ Customer Service, No Footprints, Total Immersion Always, going the extra mile when things go wrong so guests still enjoy a 5-star experience, and accepting that life happens, and that’s okay.
It is one of Escape This’s keys to success: guests should feel like the first people ever to visit the worlds it creates. The crew are the creators and the guests the discoverers, every time and every single game, so each room is reset perfectly.
