Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time depending on skills.

The Role:

We’re seeking a long-term addition to our marketing team, someone creative and hands-on who can help bring our brand to life through engaging content and immersive production. As Escape This expands in Perth… in Sydney… in Melbourne… everywhere, you'll play a key role in shaping how we’re seen, heard, and experienced.

Your duties will include:

• Marketing Support
• Film and Photography on location for promotional content, events, and campaigns
• Edit content for reels, TikToks, YouTube, and other platforms
• Create engaging short-form content that aligns with current trends and brand tone
• Produce graphics, titles, and motion elements for marketing videos
• Design posters, flyers, and other marketing collateral (both digital and print) to support campaigns and events
• Leverage AI-powered tools with confidence to enhance marketing and production outputs

Room Production Support

• Assist in creating and editing in-room videos and visual clues
• Design and implement sound effects, soundscapes, and audio cues
• Support narrative development through audio and video elements, including character voiceovers, helper messages, and immersive storytelling components
• Upload room audios, setup room triggers and establish puzzle associations for the room controllers.
• Engage with and coordinate selected voice actors
• Scriptwriting & Storyboarding
• Draft scripts and storyboards for both marketing and room content
• Collaborate with the creative team to bring concepts to life through multimedia

Essential Skills:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a creative or media-related industry
• Proficiency in video editing and graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Suite, Canva, Final Cut, etc.)
• Strong storytelling instincts and a passion for content that engages and entertains
• Comfortable using and learning a range of digital tools and platforms
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects independently and as part of a team
• Excellent writing skills, for both scripts and short-form copy

Advantageous (but not essential):

• You’re a TikTok or Reels native who understands what’s trending and why
• You love escape rooms and immersive experiences
• You’ve dabbled in sound design, podcasting, or music production
• You’ve got a passion for storytelling, whether through film, design, or performance
• Experience with AI tools for video, design, or scriptwriting
• A background in theatre, performing arts, or copywriting is a big plus

Escape This is looking for a Puzzle Technician (Electronics) to join our Perth HQ backstage team.

Position Type: Full Time permanent.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Job Role:

Electronics power the special effects, theatrics and incredible puzzles within our escape rooms. In this role you will be working alongside our Props Master, Set Builder and Creative Director as we design, build, modify, improve and maintain the electronic wizardry that amazes and stumps our guests on a daily basis.

The offered role includes both workshop and on-site requirements. 

This role would suit a Graduate student or skilled hobbyist looking to broaden their experience and apply their knowledge in an exciting commercial environment.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Computer literate;
• Arduino and Raspberry Pi programming skills (C+, C++ & Python based);
• Familiarity with Visual studio code would be highly regarded;
• Good Analytical skills and a can-do persona, willing to be part of a highly skilled and fun technical team.
• A soldering iron ninja;
• Sound knowledge of electronics components and their application;
• Crafty, creative and highly technical;
• Experience working safely with a variety of tools; and
• Efficient, organised and able to work to strict deadlines. Flexible.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• PCB design and build;
• Cat 5/6 cabling;
• Ethernet and Serial comms;
• Audio system setup and design; and
• Other skills and experience relevant to stage production.

Qualifications: Related qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.

Position Type: Casual and Permanent Part Time Roles

Salary: Per Amusement, Events and Recreation Award.

Job Role:

• Welcoming players and guiding them through electronic check-in.
• Briefing each group on game process and rules.
• Escorting players to their chosen room.
• Actively following each room’s gameplay from monitors.
• Assist with clues as and when required.
• Greet players as they exit game and farewell the group as they leave the venue.
• Reset escape rooms for next group.
• General housekeeping duties.
• Minor maintennce as required.
• Other duties as required.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• As the premier escape rooms operator in Australia, we expect high standards from each of our employees, including:
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Great team skills, comradery and ethic - you must be a teamplayer!
• Enthusiastic and outgoing personality.
• Efficient, organised and systematic with the ability to multitask... you'll be simultaneously managing multiple teams playing different rooms!
• High level of attention to detail.
• High energy!
• Responsible and trustworthy.
• Must have basic computer literacy and be able to handle a booking system and other apps.

Punctual Job Requirements:

• Must be able to work up until 10:45pm weeknights and midnights on weekends.
• Must be flexible in regards to shift allocation and changes at short notice.
